Cybersecurity & compliance.

Layered security controls across identity, endpoint, and email, monitored continuously and measured against a maturity baseline. We implement the safeguards, maintain the evidence your obligations require, and raise the baseline each review cycle.

What's included.

Threat protection

Endpoint detection and response, email security, and anti-ransomware controls deployed in depth, so a single control failure does not become an incident.

Security monitoring

Continuous monitoring of identity, endpoint, and email telemetry, with alerting tuned to genuine indicators of compromise.

Privacy & compliance

Control implementation and evidence management aligned to PIPEDA, PHIPA, and PCI-DSS obligations.

Security assessments

Structured assessment of current posture against a recognized control set, with findings prioritized by risk and a costed remediation roadmap.

Incident response

Documented response procedures covering containment, investigation, and the notification obligations that may apply.

Security awareness training

Ongoing phishing simulation and training, reported by completion rate and susceptibility trend over time.

Who this is for.

Organizations handling regulated or commercially sensitive data — clinics, professional services firms, manufacturers, and merchants processing card payments.

How it works.

01

Discovery call

A 30-minute consultation covering the data you hold, your regulatory exposure, and the controls already in place.

02

Assessment and roadmap

A documented assessment of current posture, with findings ranked by risk and a remediation plan carrying fixed prices.

03

Implementation and review

Controls deployed, monitoring established, and posture re-measured each review cycle against the original baseline.

Coverage and scope.

Defining coverage precisely is what makes a security program auditable. This is what continuous monitoring includes, and what is delivered as separately scoped work.

In scope

Endpoints running the managed agent, identity and sign-in telemetry, email security, and the integrity of backup jobs.

Asset enrolment

Coverage follows the asset register. Enrolling new devices and systems keeps monitoring complete, and enrolment status is reported each cycle.

Detection and remediation

Monitoring detects and triages. Substantive remediation is scoped as project work so effort, cost, and priority stay visible.

Forensic investigation

Containment and initial scoping are part of incident response. Full forensic examination for legal or insurance proceedings is a separate engagement.

Legal and insurance

We coordinate with your counsel and insurer and supply the technical evidence they require to progress a claim or filing.

Licensing

Security tooling carries per-seat licensing, itemized separately on the proposal rather than absorbed into a headline figure.

Regulatory obligations.

Three frameworks commonly apply. Establishing which of them govern your data is the starting point for any compliance program.

PIPEDA

The federal framework governing personal information collected in the course of commercial activity. For provincially regulated Ontario employers it covers customer data rather than employee records.

Breach reporting

Breaches presenting a real risk of significant harm must be reported to the Privacy Commissioner and to affected individuals as soon as feasible. A record of every breach must be retained for 24 months regardless of that threshold.

PHIPA

Ontario's health information framework. Custodians retain accountability for personal health information handled by their service providers, which we support with documented controls and prompt notification.

PCI-DSS

A contractual requirement of your merchant agreement rather than legislation. Your acquiring bank determines the applicable merchant level and validation method.

Control implementation

Safeguards deployed to the standard the framework expects, breach-response procedures established in advance, and records maintained as the regulation requires.

Evidence and audit readiness

Documentation produced on request for clients, insurers, and regulators, maintained continuously rather than assembled reactively when someone asks.

Common questions.

Are smaller organizations actually targeted?

Most attacks are opportunistic and automated rather than directed at a named organization. Exposure is determined by what is reachable from the internet and how well it is defended, not by company size.

What should we do if an incident is already underway?

Contact us directly and we will assist with containment, whether or not you are an existing client. Where personal information is involved, PIPEDA reporting obligations may already apply, so early assessment matters.

Which frameworks apply to us?

It depends on the data you hold and the sector you operate in. PIPEDA applies broadly to commercial activity, PHIPA to Ontario health information custodians, and PCI-DSS where card payments are processed. Determining which apply is part of the initial assessment.

Is this a project or an ongoing service?

Both models are available. Assessments are fixed-scope projects with a defined deliverable; monitoring, response, and compliance maintenance are delivered under an ongoing agreement.

Do you take action on our systems without authorization?

Authorization levels are agreed before deployment. Actions fall into three tiers: executed immediately with notification afterwards, proposed for your approval, or reported for your decision. Most organizations apply different tiers to different action types.

Is monitoring staffed continuously?

Monitoring operates continuously. Staffed escalation windows are defined in the agreement, and extended coverage is available where your risk profile calls for it.

What sits outside the monitoring scope?

Assets not enrolled with the managed agent, substantive remediation work, full forensic investigation, legal advice, and security tool licensing. Each is scoped and quoted separately.

What happens in the first hour of an incident?

Most of the value comes from preparation: a current asset register, defined critical systems, and an out-of-band contact path. Within the hour itself — validate the alert, contain the affected systems, establish the scope of access, and begin the notification assessment.

Is endpoint protection sufficient on its own?

Signature-based antivirus addresses known malware. A significant share of current incidents involve valid credentials obtained through phishing, which calls for identity monitoring and conditional access alongside endpoint detection.

Will security tooling affect system performance?

Modern endpoint agents are designed for minimal overhead. Where a specific workload shows measurable impact, it is addressed through policy tuning as part of the service.

Can you make our organization compliant?

Compliance accountability rests with your organization under both PIPEDA and PHIPA and cannot be transferred to a provider. What we deliver is the control implementation, breach-response readiness, record-keeping, and evidence production that demonstrate compliance when it is assessed.

Will this satisfy our cyber insurance requirements?

Insurer questionnaires commonly focus on multi-factor authentication, tested backups, endpoint protection, and security awareness training. We implement those controls and supply the supporting evidence; underwriting decisions remain with the insurer.

What happens to our data if the agreement ends?

You retain your documentation and configuration, and our tooling is removed from your environment. No part of your environment depends on systems that remain with us.

Can breach risk be eliminated?

No control set reduces risk to zero. A security program reduces likelihood and materially shortens detection and containment time, which is what limits the operational and regulatory impact when an incident does occur.

Let's assess your posture.
